Africa imports the parts it could print.
3PV is the manufacturing platform changing that.

Making in Cape Town since 2014 — cups first as Red Cup Village, parts today as 3D Printing Village. Printing parts since 2018. From our Paarden Eiland floor we supply enterprise, government and households — with a customer base that spans public transport, municipal services and manufacturing. Now we are building what comes next: a platform connecting customers to host manufacturing partners across South Africa and beyond.

Proven operations. Platform-scale ambition.

3PV operates today as a profitable-unit-economics service bureau with recurring enterprise supply agreements. Our 12-month framework pricing model gives clients forex protection and supply security — one HVAC export client saved R2.8M annually in forex exposure by switching from imports to 3PV local manufacturing.

From factory to platform

1

Today: the hub.

Cape Town production at scale — the proof engine generating revenue, data and enterprise relationships.

2

Now building: the network.

Certified partner printers onboarded onto the 3PV platform, extending capacity without capital expenditure.

3

Next: the marketplace.

Customers anywhere in Africa matched to the nearest certified capacity — quoting, payment, quality assurance and logistics handled by the platform.

Eleven years of production data trains the quoting engine. The quoting engine prices the marketplace. No competitor on the continent starts with that.

The moat

Forex and lead-time arbitrage. Imported spare parts carry currency risk and 6–12 week lead times. Local additive manufacturing eliminates both — a structural cost advantage that compounds as the Rand moves.

Manufacturing capability no platform competitor has. Marketplace startups have software but no machines. Service bureaus have machines but no platform. 3PV has run physical production since 2014 and is building the software layer on top of it.

Institutional validation. Active funding proposals with the Technology Innovation Agency and INSETA for the 3PV Manufacturing Academy — a programme to train and certify unemployed youth as 3D printing manufacturers feeding directly into the partner network.
